Description
Red Canna Lily with green leaves. This variety grows up to 6′ tall and will produce large tubers that you should be able to split up and create new plants.
In USDA zones 8-10 this is a perennial. If you live in a colder climate then that, you will need to dig these up after the first killing frost, and store in a warm-ish dark place over winter. A paper bag in the basement, attic, or heated garage would do just fine. Otherwise, if left in ground they will probably not come back next spring. You could grow these in a large pot, planter box, or something along those lines to make overwintering easier, but the pot needs to be pretty large, because the tubers get pretty large and will run out of room.
